One thing that I encountered on a REGULAR basis, was 98% of the ads (especially the free ones), were out-right lies; when you responded to them, you would get a SPAM e-mail trying to sound realistic telling you if you will come to such & such url, you could get her phone number, more pix,  set up a date, etc. --

Of course, once you go to the url you find out it is a PAY site and the pix and info on the AFF site is a "Bait and Switch" ad.  I signed up for 3 months and cancelled after 3 WEEKS!!  PLEASE share this with others.

You know, I have searched through a lot of dating sites.  I have a dozen or so dating sites contact me, telling me they were totally free - only to find out it was totally free for 3 days.

I don't think "Totally Free" works as a business model.  I've been told by a lot of dating site owners that they can't make it on advertising income alone.

Here is the deal, when men and woman are on dating sites the only ads they want to read are "Personal Ads".  They don't care about Travel Deals or Free Email or Internet Services.

I have found a number of sites who use bots to make people think they're interested in them and such.  It takes a little work on my part to sort out the bots from the "real deal" but I have a system now.  I won't review a dating site that users bots.

I found a new site that is still under construction but allowing people to sign up. The site is offering 1 year free memberships to everyone, its totally free to use everything for one year. No catch I am a member over there check it out if you want www.citydate.com

ChicagoMixer.com appears to be truly free.  They don't charge fees to send or read an email.  Don't know how long that's going to last.  And although "Chicago" is in the name, it appears you can sign up from anywhere in the US.  Maybe they're just starting out in Chicago?  

Anyways, the site is super fast.  They say on their front page that they don't use a lot of graphics or show ads that would slow down the site.  That's a nice change from sites like lavalife and match.com where they bombard you with ads and popups.   Check them out and see what you think. 

chicagomixer.com doesn't appear to be free any more.  but their prices are half what match or yahoo personals charge and the site is surprisingly fast so that's nice.  i signed up for a free account to win an ipod.  odds of winning are probably slim but i don't care cause i want an ipod soooooo bad. 

You can take a look at LoveXcape.com .. they are totally free for members and they will be free forever. They have feature like Web Tasks which is pretty cool where i can keep up my daily tasks online and every day and they'll email you if your tasks are due up one day before you tasks due date.  That's the first site that i know offer this service. They said they'll have more services comming soon for members, right now it's just an orphan stages but i think they will grow fast comming soon.

I have found a few totally free internet dating sites, they are webdate.com, plentyoffish.com and country passions.com   The only problem is that not enough people know about them.  Try to get the word out to anyone and everyone to build up the number of people on them.. My gripe is with the sites that make you become a member before you can even see who e-mailed you or who even looked at your profile.
