I am a seasoned internet dater. I've been finding dates on the Internet for about 7 years, through many of the internet dating sites.
I joined
Matchmaker for a while a few months ago. MM has a nice feauture that allows you to track your email, whether the person has read it, deleted it, responded to it, and when they last logged on. I've met some people from their site, so there are real people on there.
I was getting suspicious of this and other sites, so I did a little experiment on
Matchmaker. I sent out a couple emails, to the most attractive of the people. I did a veery careful monitoring for any activity on their accounts, and what happened to my email. Without fail, these people would log in first thing in the morning, and delte my email without even reading it. Hmmm, who pays money to join a site, then doesn't even read their email. If they weren't interested in meeting anyone, they wouldn't bother logging in.
Now, when word of this reaches them, they WILL change their policies, like I've heard and seen them do in the past. I just hope that this information helps someone out there.
