ok to go to his house for 1st date??

am newly single after 20 yrs of marriage as of january. am trying the dating websites.
have question for the single women out there. this is what i'm encountering. most men
want to just have me come over and hang out and their place for some wine and conversation.
then a second and third encounter seem to be the same, i end up going to his house.
granted it's been 20 yrs since i was single, but don't men spring for drinks or dinner out
    anymore??

Re: ok to go to his house for 1st date??

Go to his house for a first date you ask?  Hell NO!   None of my girl friends would fall for this.  I don't care how great of a cook he is, how nice the house is, blah, blah, blah - don't do it.  You're just asking for trouble.

Yes, dating has changed in the past twenty years, but you still have to be careful.  You still want to be able to make a quick exit.  I don't even like guys picking me up for the first date (I don't like for them to know where I live), I'll usually meet them.  Then I can make a quick exit if he's an ***.

If he can't find a nice, quiet resturant for the first date, he has no chance with me.  Now, that is just me.  My girl friend, nikki, likes actvities, like a baseball game or other sporting event for the first date.  But again, they'll decide on a place to meet.

Finally, you need to have a girlfriend who knows where you're going, what the guys name is and all the information you have on him, just in case you find yourself in a difficult situation.  She should know the details of what you're doing and you should agree on a time she should call your cell to "check in" on you!  I call it the "I gotta go" call.  It gives you an out just in case you need one.

Be yourself, set your own rules and then trust your inner ear.

No girl!!! Do not go to his house on the 1st date. Men need to be men. Let him take you out 1st. Now a days we as women forget the power of being a woman and let men become lazy. rememder men are hunters by instinct...let him case you!

You need to pick up this book called sassy, single and satified by michelle mckinny hammond and another one called the power of an irresistable women. These 2 books will answer a lot of your questions about dating and getting back to the basics. I would also strongly suggest 101 ways to keep a mans attention...all these are by the same offer.
